Private Treatment

We believe that all patients should be offered a full choice of the treatments available, and should be given enough information to make an informed choice. You do not need to be a private patient to have private treatment, we offer this to our NHS and Independent patients. Private treatment options may help to provide all your treatment and a greater choice of materials and techniques in order to achieve optimum aesthetic results.

Some treatments are not available on the NHS, for instance:

  • Teeth whitening
  • White crowns on back (molar) teeth
  • White fillings for back teeth provided for aesthetic reasons
  • Sports mouth guards

With our private options good value is as important in dentistry as in anything else, and fees reflect the standard of treatment offered. There are no standard set fees in private dentistry because every patient is different and therefore, each treatment is unique.

A personalised written estimate of the cost of treatment is supplied in advance and fees are discussed with you to ensure your complete understanding and satisfaction.

Finance FAQ

Can it be used for any treatment?
Yes, but it is particularly useful for cosmetic dentistry, orthodontic work and implants. You can borrow any amount from £350 upwards, subject to status. You need to be over 21 to apply, and you must have lived in the UK for at least 3 years.

How much can I borrow?
Dependent upon facility you can borrow typically between £250 and £50,000 (subject to credit application).

How much will I pay?
With our 0% facility you pay the cost of your dental treatment - no more and no less. Interest-free means just that!  In terms of the low cost facilities, we provide you with a quotation that shows the monthly payment and the total interest payable over the term of the loan. There are no hidden costs and no deposit is required!

Do I have to pay a deposit?
A deposit is not required, but if you want to pay one and so reduce the amount you borrow, this is completely up to you.

How do I apply?
The practice staff will complete a simple, online application process with you. This will only take a few minutes. The information is transmitted to the lender immediately and a reply is usually received by return. Credit is subject to status. When approved, you can either sign a credit agreement that the practice print for you, or have it emailed for you to complete at home.

When can I start the treatment?
Immediately - as soon as the credit agreement has been signed.

How do I make repayments?
Repayments are made by monthly direct debit, starting one month after you sign the credit agreement.

What if I decide that I don’t want the finance?
There is a statutory ‘cooling off’ period of 14 days after signature during which you can cancel the credit agreement with no cost to you. However, if you have started any treatment which would have been financed, you will have to make other arrangements to pay for it.

Who provides the finance?
The finance is arranged through Dental Finance., a company authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority to carry out the regulated activity of credit broking, the lender is Hitachi.

Are you registered with the Financial Conduct Authority?
Yes, we are registered with the FCA, so you have full peace of mind when taking our dental finance.
