We understand that visiting the dentist can feel overwhelming for some people. Whether you've had a difficult experience in the past, haven't seen a dentist for many years, or simply feel anxious about treatment, our caring team is here to help.
At Orchard Dental Practice in Maidstone, we take time to listen to your concerns and help you feel comfortable at every stage of your visit. You are always in control of your treatment, and we will work at a pace that feels right for you. Our experienced team is dedicated to creating a calm, supportive environment where you can feel relaxed and confident about your dental care.
For some patients, dental sedation can make treatment much easier and more comfortable.
Intravenous (IV) sedation is administered by a medically trained anaesthetist. Although you will remain awake, you will feel deeply relaxed throughout your treatment. Many patients remember very little of the procedure afterwards, helping to reduce stress and worry.
Please speak to our team if you would like to learn more about sedation options.
Feel very anxious about dental treatment
Have experienced dental trauma in the past
Have avoided the dentist for a long period of time
Need more complex treatment and would prefer a more relaxed experience
Sedation can also allow multiple treatments to be completed in a single appointment where appropriate. Throughout your visit, you will be closely monitored to ensure your comfort and safety.

Dental anxiety is extremely common, with many people feeling nervous about visiting the dentist. The good news is that there are effective ways to overcome these fears, and our team has helped many patients regain confidence in their dental care.
We believe in building long-term relationships based on trust, understanding and open communication. Our goal is to help you feel comfortable enough to attend regular appointments and maintain a healthy smile.

Your first visit is simply an opportunity for us to get to know you and understand your concerns. There is no pressure to start treatment straight away.
We'll take the time to listen, answer your questions and discuss any treatment recommendations clearly, helping you feel informed and reassured before making any decisions.
If it helps you feel more relaxed, you're welcome to bring a friend or family member to your appointment.
They can stay with you during your consultation and, where appropriate, accompany you into the treatment room for additional reassurance and support.
